Anna Beth Roeschley
Visiting Associate of WATER

Anna Beth Roeschley is currently serving at WATER as the visiting associate in collaboration with Mennonite Voluntary Service. She traces her roots to a family farm near Flanagan, Illinois, where she has called home her entire life. Anna is a 2007 photo of Anna Roeschleygraduate of Bluffton University (Bluffton, Ohio) where she studied Communication in Church Organizations and Peace and Conflict Studies. Her growing interest in eco-feminist spirituality gave rise to a year-long project entitled, Dissoi Logoi and the Feminine Divine: embodying a [non]-argument to make [integrate] ‘the weaker’ [body] argument [and] ‘the stronger’ [mind], for which she received departmental honors in Communication.

Anna was co-coordinator of the 2007 Intercollegiate Peace Fellowship conference held at Bluffton University. She also spent a semester studying in Northern Ireland through Bluffton’s Peace and Conflict Transformation Program, where she interned at Corrymeela reconciliation centre and even had tea with the Dalai Lama! Other college highlights for Anna included serving as president of Bluffton’s P.E.A.C.E. Club, placing as a four-year finalist in the annual C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest, and touring with Camerata Singers.

In seeking a balanced life, Anna enjoys creating music, biking, decoupage greeting cards, connecting with family and friends, coffee shops, the changing of seasons, and journaling. She is both excited and honored to offer her energies to the WATER community this year.
