The proposed concept plan to redevelop the southern half of the Old Colony complex with 60 unit condos is being redesigned, again. The latest pictures are shown below.

There are two main features to this tweaking.

1. City staff insists on replacing the pool with more townhouses, to add balance to Gateway.
[NECA and other civic association are against this. They offer trees block gateway view most of year, our crowded urban area need more openness and urban amenities and new community will need 'center' site for togetherness. Plus the pool and carriage house were carefully designed to reflect our heritage and have successful history doing.

The developer is neutral on this issue.]
