the world and ice cream in moving detail: “The ice cream there was really nice. This
was because it was made from fresh strawberries. This made it much better than the ones we
get in England. Christopher though dropped his.”

examples of prose that cover her academic and athletic career from 1979-1983. An excerpt:
“On June 4 was my first parade in Herndon. It rained that day, so we stood in the
rain for an hour before the parade started. I thought we stunk because our baton’s
were slippery and we kept dropping them. Dad said we did good.”
