Welcome to my internship journal! I thought that people might be interested in reading about my experiences. Entries are added in chronological orders, with the most recent entry at the bottom.
To provide a little background: I am a court reporting student in Washington D.C., studying at the Capitol Court Reporting and Captioning Institute in Alexandria, Virginia. I have passed my 200s across the board, but have not yet passed any of my 225s. I also need to pass a 180 real-time test (notes with 90% accuracy).
In addition to going to school, I also work part-time as a paralegal at the D.C. Office of a major L.A.-based law firm. I began there in March of 1990, and worked there full-time until I started school in October of 1995, so I have some real-life litigation experience.
