Welcome to the Eliot family tree. The material presented here was originally compiled by Henry Eliot Scott in his book The Family of William Greenleaf Eliot and Abby Adams Eliot, As Chronicled by their Descendants, to 1988. Biographical data is essentially his unless otherwise noted.
There are two Eliot families in the United States, The Somerset Branch and the Eliot Hill Branch. The former is chronicled here. No connection has been found between the families, though they did intermarry recently. If the families are indeed connected, it is prior to their immigrations to America in the 1600's.
