Since retiring from the U.S. Geological Survey in March, 2006, I have been spending more of my time on photography. While I love walking in mountains and other scenic places, I also try to notice the beauty in my everyday surroundings. Here is a collection of some of my photographs.

	Portfolio 2008	Here are some of my favorite photos from 2008.
	Reston Town Center Holiday Celebration	A good day of shooting for the start of the Holiday season.
	The Potomac River Gorge	The Potomac River at Mather Gorge, only a few miles upstream from the Nation's Capital, is a magical place. Early morning is best, when I can watch the sun illuminate the river.
	Paris and Provence, 2007	My wife, Kathy, and I, along with two other couples, took a long-awaited trip to France in June, 2007. It's hard not to get some great shots there!
	JAWRA Covers	I work part-time as Editor of the bimonthly Journal of the American Water Resources Association (JAWRA). In addition to choosing the cover photo, I sometimes get to take it!
	AWRA 2009 Annual Conference, Seattle, WA	I go to AWRA conferences looking for papers for the Journal. However, I've also become the unofficial photographer of the events. Here is my latest effort at capturing the spirit of a scientific meeting.
