Our Books

The Lantern's inventory is an eclectic assortment of poetry, literature, philosophy, psychology, law, crime, economics, politics, travel, adventure, sports, archeology, religion, science, health, humor, gardening, cooking, wine, history, biography, children's books, sheet music, plays, fine art, photography, and foreign language. You will also find a large selection of paperback mysteries and popular literature. And don't forget that when you buy five books, you get the fifth one FREE!

Donating

Our inventory consists entirely of donated materials. Book donations are tax-deductible, and may be made during regular store hours. Receipts for donations are available upon request.

The Lantern appreciates books that are clean and free of dust, mold, and food or insect residue. Please make sure the books are not excessively highlighted or marked in the margins. Age is not a factor, however the books must be intact, sturdy, and clean.

Although The Lantern carries a wide range of books, we are unable to accept the following: textbooks, law books, contemporary romance novels, contemporary science fiction or fantasy novels, guides to childbirth and rearing/schooling of children, diet books, get-rich-quick books, business or business management books.
