This site belongs to The Forever Group a group of people who met on the Kawasaki Thunderlizards email listserv, and formed a spin-off investment and activist club. Our mission is to dedicate ourselves to reach out to all computer users and spread the word about the Macintosh; to demonstrate the excellence and superiority of the Macintosh way; to encourage Mac users the world over to invest in Apple Computer. We thus endeavor to collectively secure the future of the Macintosh platform for generations to come! In retrospect, 1997 was a year of dramatic changes, as Apple went on a roller coaster ride on the stock market, and Steve Jobs returned to the company after a lengthy absence and proceeded to shake things up, turning conventional wisdom upside down. Whatever anybody may think of the decision to end clone licenses, withdraw from most retail outlets and set up its own online store and enter a partnership with CompUSA, and so forth, all these decision have been made for the better good of the company. We look forward to still more changes ahead for 1998, as we await the appointment of a new CEO, the debut of Rhapsody, more powerful and speedy Macintosh models, and so forth. We also expect Apple to step up its marketing, not just amongst the Macintosh aficionados, but also opening new markets amongst those who've never used a Macintosh before, or at least not aware of its full potential.
