The electricity authority began consultations with the local community in the early stages of project planning. Pictured here is the authority's staff sociologist who is himself from a rural community in Western Nepal. Daily meetings were held with small communities (pictured here) and several large-scale consultations meetings took place. The authority set up a Project Information Center where documents pertaining to the project are available in Nepali.
