I am a fantasy writer. My literary short story "A Brief Swell of Twilight" won the 2006 Fiction Award from the Briar Cliff Review and was published in their 2007 issue. My first fantasy sale, "Excision," will appear in the Oct/Nov issue of Weird Tales, the first issue of material selected by new editor Ann VanderMeer. My most recent sale was in teh Summer 2009 issue of Space and Time magazine.

I'm a graduate of the Odyssey SF/F Workshop, run by World Fantasy Award-winning former editor Jeanne Cavelos, and Orson Scott Card's Literary Boot Camp.

I'm a past member of a local writer's group led by Ted White, former editor of F&SF and Amazing. I've also helped start another local group, the Northern Virginia Science Fiction & Fantasy Writer's Group.
