Saturday 18 April 1998 |
In keeping with its three year tradition, NorthEast Civic Assoc. spent last Saturday making our neighborhood a better place. Volunteers cleaned out the alley between Colonial and Powhatan Streets, trimmed and cleaned scrubs along US1 north of Bashford Ave and many other areas of need. This was followed with a pleasant pot luck at the Fire house, which include some extra nice goodies from the recently reopened 'Dixie Pig' restaurant. See pictures below. After lunch we had a walking Q&A and Garden tour of the neighborhood by professional gardener ??. The day ended with the planting of day lilies along the cleaned alley. |
