Here's some of what folks started saying on Internet
about Leftover Salmon in 1995

"YES, YES, YES! Go see them and groove down brother..." <martidc3@wfu.edu>

"Hey there, I just saw Salmon in Boulder, CO, at the Fox! Whew, it was
soooo hot! Everyone went nuts... if any of you out there like to groove hard,
do see this band!"  <jdunnican@summitcnty.com>

"The show was great!"  <brucew@uscu.Colorado.EDU>

"i've only seen leftover salmon twice, and i've been blown away each time."
<jesse@unc.edu>

"Leftover Salmon -- total world beat deal w/crazy slide mandolin adrenalin!!
AWESOME!"  <whb4@cornell.edu>

"Leftover Salmon was all killer - no filler." <tomwa@jsb.com>

"Sometimes they are like bluegrass players on speed. They were definitely a
lot of fun, and if you see them, be ready to dance... They wear the title of jam
band well, and I recommend them highly." <gdraft@leland.Stanford.EDU>

"Leftover Salmon!! For those of you unfamiliar with the Boulder, CO,
band, they smoke!!"  <mlerman@umich.edu>

"We already have Leftover Salmon lined up for the 25 and 26 in Colorado
(if you haven't heard this band, you *must*)" <zaq@leland.Stanford.EDU>

"I just got back from Vail, and the show was hot... The show smoked...
it was sooo smoking hot..." <jdunnican@summitcnty.com>

"Got a chance to see Leftover Salmon for the first time in Pittsburg and
was really impressed by them." <XGXD@grove.iup.edu>

"This is my first exposure to the band and they are seriously strange.
I really like them... Joe Bob says, check 'em out!"
<ethein@unix.amherst.edu>

"Boy oh boy, you guys missed a killer show last night. I can't count
the number of times I was BLOWN AWAY! ...this was one of the most
amazing Salmon shows I've ever seen." <MRPIGGLY@MUSIC.CC.UGA.EDU>

"I was lucky enough to see Leftover Salmon a few weeks ago and I was
blown away."  <jcantera@moose.uvm.edu>

"Leftover Salmon blew me away... They had so much energy! The whole
club (quite full) was dancing its ass off. ... just kept building
energy! Overall, an unbelievable show. These guys are awesome!!!"
<jsc7751@EMAIL.UNC.EDU>

"You're in for a TREAT! Get ready for some hardcore polyethnic cajun
slamgrass! Seriously, they're like bluegrass on speedy blotter. Wear
shorts and comfortable shoes, and be prepared to boogie! LOS ties with
DMB for my favorite new discoveries of the last year. I won't miss them
any time they come to the SF bay area, and I'd suggest you take
advantage of your chance to see them... Whooo-weee! Fun, fun, fun!"
<lmccormick@cisco.com>

"just got home from my 3rd time seeing the Salmon! Man, they are so
good! I still find myself standing there with my mouth open a lot!
...of course, they jammed! Good crowd, the word is spreading."
<taz@nowhere.net>

"just a reminder to all Chicagoans, the hottest band out of Boulder will
be at Otis' Thursday night! ...last time they played there it was
insane!! ...you won't be disappointed!" <mlerman@umich.edu>

"I'd kill for a bill with Phish and Leftover Salmon on it! LS - the
ultimate polyethnic cajun slamgrass!"  <mungbyrd@aol.com>

"Complete wackiness would ensue... the Salmon tear it up!"
<ingraffi@rintintin.Colorado.EDU>

"The Salmon set was pretty standard, in other words, they bew me away as
usual with their wild jamming." <scarlet@JSBUS.COM>

"i have only been listening for a short time and salmon is definitely a
wonderful group with strong jams." <goldfede@soleil.acomp.usf.edu>

"I've seen Salmon five times and will be seeing them tonight and
tomorrow at the Catalyst and Fillmore. Things I love about Salmon: The
humor. The largely unrecognizized genius of Drew Emmitt (shoot, the boy
plays mandolin, electric guitar, flute, violin, sings in tune, and
writes great lyrics!) The very variable setlists. Vince's energy.
Mark's obsession with the Andy riff. The frequent visits to the Bay
area. Things that bug me about Salmon: The Marin-based groupie girles
who guard the front of the stage better than any pit bull ever could!"
<Alek_Grabinski@ccm.sc.intel.com>

"I headed over to the Fillmore Sat night with high expectations. All
expectations were exceeded!! Leftover Salmon was brilliant!! High
energy music that "made" your body dance." <MARKSA@tcs.com>

"After the introductory Zombie [at the Fillmore], they settled into a
trance which must have had the ghosts of Jimi, Janice, Jim, and the
Grateful Dead (OK, so they're not dead yet, but their spirits were
definitely in the house last Saturday!) entwined with their own souls.
Fluid, crescendoing jams from everyone. Lots of back and forthing.
Drew playing at least two instruments per song... In short, I was blown
away... I guess I've come to expect LoS to be a "fun" band, where I can
go and dance myself silly to Cajun and bluegrass. But I did not expect
to be treated an improvisationional firestorm, and for that I can only
say: Thank you, Salmon!"  <alek@best.com>

"Leftover Salmon impressed the hell out of me too."
gavl@alcatraz.rtc.sc.ti.com>

"I will tell you though that I bought only one CD the whole weekend, and
it says Leftover Salmon on the outside." <mudpuppy@GIBBS.OIT.UNC.EDU>

"LEFTOVER SALMON! LEFTOVER SALMON! **sigh** GREAT DELIGHTFUL BAND.
EVERYONE MUST TRY SOME."  <coronet@aol.com>

"Speaking of bluegrass, the band that opened for ARU in Providence last
year, Leftover Salmon, is an amazing bluegrass band."
<Gregory_Pomeranz@postoffice.brown.edu>

"Leftover Salmon was just a stomping, crazy good time. Where else can
you see a guy who plays electric slide MIDI mandolin and electric fiddle
alongside a cat playing electric banjo? I was pretty happy about the
whole thing."  <emery@sfsuvax1.sfsu.edu>

"They got things off right away with a rowdy "Paint it Black," and never
slowed down! ...Anyhoo, it was one helluva show." stampes@xilinx.co>

"leftover's sound is so right on I can't say that any other bands karma
hits a sweeter spot. Oh, except da dead." <pfritsch@students.wisc.edu>

"Like any good band the only way to understand is to see them which I
recommend to anyone who happens to read this. Damn good music."
<XNQZ97A@prodigy.com>

"YES YES YES!!! Leftover Salmon cooks!!!" <ondler@mhdl.moorhead.msus.edu>

"I've just been to my first show of theirs and it will not be my last."
<ehookhahead@aol.com>

"It was an incredibly energetic show, in spite of the mind-deadening
heat & humidity in the upsstairs half of Nectar's. You know those days
when touching another human body is just the most disgusting thing you
could possibly imagine? Well, it felt like that in Club Metronome, but
it was impossible to avoid because *not* dancing would have been
physically impossible. ...a good time." <hannula@middlebury.edu>

"Leftover Salmon played a spectacular show at the Metronome last Friday
night. The magic was so thick that the Universe seemed to unfold itself
in orphic delight."  <MLT93002@UConnVM.UConn.Edu>

"I caught Leftover Salmon in Beantown at a place called the Middle East.
I went there on a fluke but it was one of the best experiences I've
had."  <makasupa@aol.com>

"If you have not heard this band you are missing out!!!! ...These guys
are good, you gotta hear them'" <dp7ghoti@aol.com>

"I have to say, if you ever have an opportunity to see them, take it!
You know that feeling when you're at a Phish show and they are playing
sparkle and they get to that bluegrassy part at the end, playing so fast
that all you can do is jump up and down and laugh hysterically? These
guys are like that for the whole show. If you like the bluegrass/reggae
side of Phish, this will take you another step in that direction. They
played until we dropped... this is definitely something to share with
the world."  <since@ese.clemson.edu>

"Best band to dance and laugh to these days." <kundogger@aol.com>

"Leftover Salmon is a great LIVE band!" <tfvs@aol.com>

"Leftover Salmon are a lot of fun... by all means check them out if
they come to yer town! ...They are all excellent musicians, exhibit a
great sense of humor, and do some jamming that I bet you would enjoy."
<grantg@further.corp.sgi.com>

"I caught Leftover Salmon at the Merle Watson Bluegrass Festival last
spring and loved them so much that I saw three of their performances,
each one unique. I really got a sense of the energy of a Dead Show...
before the Dead really caught on." <dmcox@mindspring.com>

"...LOS is quite possibly the most entertaining band to see these days."
<kundogger@aol.com>

"They have my vote. If you like the Dead or Bela, or just like good
bluegrass (funky, bluesy, with a solid fusion influence), GO SEE 'em. I
caught their act at the Hampton Beach Casino, and they blew everyone
away."  <nick@cybercom.net>

"Absolutely worth seeing. WOW. Their stuff is pure goodness..."
<mick14@aol.com>

"if you've never seen Salmon, you are in for a treat, my friends! It's
kind of like Phish meets cajun meets Jamaican music. It's a wonderful
combination they have going, those wacky lads from Colorado!"
<dave@bridgeman.com>

"Yes, indeedy doodeley... Leftover Salmon cooks!!! Go see 'em. ...and
they allow board patches too!!! YUM YUM!"
<ondler@mhdl.moorhead.msus.edu>

"No question theat Salmon is one of the best bands to see live. Leave
room for a lot of slamgrass dancn'...... ...Salmon is definitely the
catch of the day."  <patapult@aol.com>

"Wow....what an incredible show. No wonder there is so much talk about
Leftover Salmon on the net, they're just SO MUCH FUN and have SO MUCH
ENERGY.... anyone who hasn't seen them, GO AND SEE THEM!!!"
<pp54@columbia.edu>

"They are my second favorite band (after the Grateful Dead). They
really put on a couple of incredible shows." (miken@grove.ufl.EDU)

"I just saw my first Leftover Salmon show in NY last night and had my
head quite thoroughly blown away. They are great musicians and tons O'
fun." <Threeefer@aol.com>

"Leftover Salmon put on an incredible show here in Baltimore last
night... they were on fire, I must say... They really amazed with the
amount of energy they played with... Great stuff... They will amaze
you, and it's one of the best times you're going to have at a show..."
<JPALM@LOYOLA.EDU>

"Drew is an absolute madman. I was standing about 2 feet from him, and
he was just going OFF on that electric mandolin. He's really improved
on the electric guitar and fiddle too. Mark, of course, was mind
blowing on electric and acoustic banjo. ... I can't wait to see these
guys again." <jsc7751@email.unc.edu>

"I saw Leftover Salmon last week in Boston and they rocked!"
<Jan@lpp.com>

"My "new" favorite band, Leftover Salmon, will be at the Bayou in
Georgetown this Friday night, October 13th. They play "Polyethnic Cajun
Slamgrass" - a blend of Zydeco and Bluegrass that is total outrageous
fun." <jwheeler@hr.house.gov>

"Drew is one of the most talented musicians in America - exceedingly
proficient on instruments as diverse as electric guitar, mandolin,
violin, and flute, as well as his own voice, and his lyrics are
breathtaking." <Alek_Grabinski@ccm.sc.intel.com>

"I've been meaning to write a review about the 2 shows I saw recently:
8x10 in B'more and the Bayou in DC. They were HOT! The guys were
smokin as usual and it was an extra treat to hang out and chat with
Vince and Mark before the Bayou show." <taz@nowhere.Net>

"I have just been turned on to leftover salmon and it has left me
aching for more, if anyone can help me out (with bootleg tapes) I'd
greatly appreciate it." <ejones8026@aol.com>

"They have my vote... If you like the Dead or Bela, or just like good
bluegrass (funky, bluesy, with a solid fusion influence)...I caught
their act at the Hampton Beach Casino, and they blew everyone away."
<nick@cybercom.net>

"ABSOLUTELY worth seeing. I've caught a couple of shows in Bellingham,
WA. WOW, their stuff is pure goodness..." <mick514@aol.com>

"if you've never seen Salmon, you are in for a treat, my friends! It's
a kind of like Phish meets Cajun meets Jamaican music. It's a wonderful
combination they have going, those wacky lads from Colorado!"
<dave@bridgeman.com>

"If Leftover Salmon comes anywhere near your way, Run don't Walk. See
'em. I caught their stupendous smoking show of 'polyethnic cajun
slamgrass' last night and I'm thinking seriously about making the the
long haul up to cowtown tomorrow night to catchem again. They're nothing
short of fantastic. Bill Monroe on acid. Wow!, what a show."
<barryw@austin.ibm.com>

"i've seen salmon 7 times, 4 at the cat's cradle in chapel hill nc, once
at ziggy's in winston salem nc and twice out on nantucket island in
massachussetts (summer '95). the two most recent dates they've played at
the cradle have been SMOKIN'!! why don't any of my tapes live up to
this? also, the second night on nantucket (at the muse) was killer. i'm
sure there must be some kick ass tapes out there. how 'bout the fillmore
tapes? other west coast faves? they can't only play hot shows at the
cradle (although they do LOVE that place :)" <jsc7751@email.unc.edu>

"Just a quick plug for Leftover Salmon. I saw these guys in Austin
Saturday night and was completely hosed. This is a GREAT BAND! Their
musicianship, energy, creativity, and sense of humor are definitely on
par with Phish. If you wish you could go back and see Phish in 90/91,
check out these guys before they blast off. Color me impressed!"
<ssjordan@utxvms.cc.utexas.edu>

"They were incredible - tight, talented, versatile. I don't think I
could keep count of how many different styles they incorporated into
their show. The tropical tunes encouraged the most rug cutting, while
the strict bluegrass numbers were equally energetic. Those two styles
were my favorite." <MCARMOD@CLEMSON.EDU>

"Well for a relatively new live disc that i find essential, try Leftover
Salmon's Ask the Fish. Hard to find but well worth the effort. They
play a blend of bluegrass, country, calypso, and psychedelic music and
they JAM. Reminds me a bit of the boys [Grateful Dead]. Really. Not
just saying that."  <72072.3566@CompuServe.COM>

[As a follow-up to the above...] "Yep, they refer to it as 'Polyethnic
Cajun Slam Grass' %^) and they're on tour right now. Catch 'em if you
get the chance. They're wildmen I tell ya. Best band I've seen since
my last Dead show. These guys definitely JAM." <barryw@austin.ibm.com>

"Aloha! I've recently been turned on to LS, and can't get enough! I've
got plenty of Phish, some acoustic Dave, and a few HQ Dead sets to trade
for any nice sounding LS shows. Thanks." <sreeve@hawaii.edu>

"leftover salmon is one of the coolest new groups that i have recently
gotten into. they have a wide range of talents from rock to reggae to a
lot of bluegrass. they have a good time on stage and make you have a
good time in the audience. i am going to see them in knoxville next
saturday. can't wait, should be awesome." <ndhowell@delphi.com>

"I highly recommend them."  <stighe@ix.netcom.com>

"I've seen Leftover Salmon twice now and they blow me away. Amazing
musicianship, good sense of humor, lively, fun...very similar to Phish
in talent and spirit. I'd describe them as psychedelic bluegrass with
Jaco Pastorious on bass. If that doesn't sound appealing to you, ignore
it and go see them anyway...they're a sure-fire winner. I can't imagine
a Phish fan not loving this band." <ssjordan@utxvms.cc.utexas.edu>

"I remember a couple of years ago there was a thread for people to list
other bands that they like...I though it would be cool for Phish fans to
list other bands that they love seeing live besides Phish. Well, here
goes: 1. Leftover Salmon - nobody works a crowd like they do. Your
grandmother could have died that morning, and you'll leave the show
smiling!  2. Maceo Parker - ...  3. Widespread Panic - ...  4. Uptighty
- ..."  <sdaff@bu.edu>

"For me, I've always felt that live music is the true test to any band's
musicianship. You can do just about anything in the studio, but to be
able to perform an amazing live show takes a lot of talent. Hence, most
of my other (than Jimi Hendrix) favorite groups have outstanding live
acts.  1. Phish - ...  2. Leftover Salmon - A small band from Boulder,
CO. They describe their music as "Polyethnic Cajun Slamgrass." It's a
combination of bluegrass, rock, irish folk tunes and zydeco. If you ever
get the chance, check them out live.3. The Allman Brothers - ... 4.
Stanley Jordan - ...  5. Maceo Parker - ..."  <sdaff@bu.edu>

"Go check them out they are a great band. You will have alot of fun!
Does any one know if they will be coming down to Los Angeles?"
<jfwjr33@aol.com>

"Check these guys out if you get the chance; seriously, you won't regret
it..."  <mglito@well.sf.ca.us>

"Westcoasters, check these guys out. You will have alot of fun!"
<jfwjr33@aol.com>

"i saw them last night in knoxville and they were awesome. they had
some horns in the second set as well. simply amazing. everyone should
check them out."  <ndhowell@delphi.com>

"My personal favorite is Pasta on the Mountain by leftover salmon. Sure
it's a bastardized version, but it gets my toes a tappin. If your not
familiar with these guys and you enjoy bluegrass...get out of the house
and check them out. Polyrythmic Slamgrass. Fillmore 3/15 & 3/16. I
have no personal affiliations with this band, I just love their music."
<marksa@tcsi.com>

"tomorrow night is Leftover Salmon at the Fox in Boulder. I love these
guys! DO NOT miss them if you get the chance! If you love BT's [Blues
Traveller's] good-feelin jams, super-fun-happy jams, virtuosic jams, and
break-neck speed jams, then you will love Leftover Salmon. They are
*over the top*. Fri, Sat, Sun at the Fox this weekend. Woohoo!"
<TLEACH@ftcmpdmain.ftcollinsco.ncr.com>

"Got a chance to catch the show at the Aladdin theatre last night. A
blistering show in my humble opinion with a great Zydeco, Zombie
jamboree (?) and finished with Pasta and "Wake and Bake" encores.
Thetheatre was good acousticly and the atmosphere was great....Anyway,
another great show, always a pleasure to see when they hit the
Northwest."  <browncat@ix.netcom.com>

"If you ever get the opportunity, go see Leftover Salmon! Brilliant
musicianship.. fantastic. Polyethnic cajun slamgrass.. got to love it.

I have a hard time believing that any Phish (or Dead) fan could dislike
these guys.. sure, there is a little cheese at times, but Phish gets
cheesy at times, too. These folks jam, and can create some gorgeous
improv..

If you have heard tapes, ignore them. The material I had heard was from
pre-94, and well, that material ain't s__t compared to what I've heard
the last two nights at the Fillmore.

Go see them!!! You won't regret it!! In my opinion, they COMPLETELY
DESTROY all the Other Bands that I've heard (but I admittedly have not
heard Moe yet, and apparently, they are pretty good!). I have heard
WSP, BT, OSP, Ozric, From Good Homes, Strange Folk, Solar Circus, etc.

The ability of the guitarists in this band is on a completely different
level than what I've heard from the Other Bands just mentioned. Dave
Grisman came out and wailed on mandolin with Salmon tonight, and damn,
you need to hear the tapes to believe it. I'm still shaking! Drew, a
member of Leftover Salmon, and an amazing
guitarist/violinist/mandolinist/vocalist did more than keep up with
Grisman. They were communicating with each other magnificently... Drew
was actually Grisman's peer, and Grisman acknowledged it."
<dirkch00@ac.usfca.edu>

"just wanted to chime in-- saw the Saturday 3/16 show at the Fillmore
and LOVED it. Grisman sit-in was a pleasant surprise, and you're
absolutely right about Drew Emmitt holding is own and in several ways
surpassing Grisman. go see 'em!" (tedandmiap@aol.com

"Saw them play here in Dallas, an awesome live show." <jckstraw@ix.netcom.com>

"I agree that this band is amazing. I saw them this summer at the
Middle East in Central Sq, Cambridge (one of my favorite venues)...and I
don't think I've ever danced so hard in my life. So much fun."
<cubed@pcix.com>

"I must agree w/ what Charlie posted. I saw them on Fri. night at the
Fillmore and it's the first band I've seen since NYE that knocked my
socks off. Not only are these guys extremely talented, they're not all
that popular (yet) and that translates into small cozy venues. It
reminded me of seeing Phish at the Warfield as far as the family type
vibe that a small venue can emit. Anyway, I was unfamiliar w/ all the
material they played but when a bands jamming like these guys can the
entire place is feeling the groove." <maxm@uclink3.berkeley.edu>

"Leftover Salmon - FUN, FUN, FUN. This is one of the best party bands
you will ever hear. They know their musical chops and have a blast on
stage playin'. I hung out with a few of them once and they have as much
fun offstage as they do on it. These guys define the word party. Really.
They sound like a mix between bluegrass and cajun/zydeco music. I like
the bluegrass sounding tunes better. Plus, they have a great sense of
humor. You will definitely dance your butt off to the Salmon as well.
Rusted Root is like Romper Room compared to Salmon. They've got guitars,
fiddles, mandolins, banjos, and all kinds of other stuff for your
musical enjoyment."  <AABRAMS@SPRINGER-NY.COM>

"If you hear of this band coming to town, you'd better go see them, they
are definitely worth your time." <tsmith@lpsmtp.lasalle.com>

"I've been a fan of Bluegrass since attending a fiddle contest/festival
in New Hampshire fifteen years ago. When I first saw the salmonheads, I
was immediately drawn to the creative and fun environment they created
on stage. Since then, much has happened as they've progressed into the
current lineup. It has been a pleasure watching my friends grow into a
truly gifted band which people all over the country have begun to
enjoy."  <epa@tesser.com>

In smaller venues, you feel as if you are part of the band. The music
is not so 'perfect'; there is more comedy, more interaction between band
and audience. THIS is what I love about going to Salmon shows now. I
love their interaction with the audience. Undoubtedly, Salmon will
become huge one day (which is a good thing; if anyone deserves it is
them), but all of us who see the band now will have seen some special
things. Now, when I go to a Phish show, I get lost. I am just one of
the thousands of people at a show. However, now when I see Salmon, I
feel a special connection to the band. It is difficult to verbalize
this but I hope you all know what I am talking about."
<guac@gwis2.circ.gwu.edu>

"I am always glad to see the guys doing so well and improving all the
time! They truly deserve the attention! I plan to catch them in the
big times at Telluride and Winter Park this summer!

Since I am a forty something kind of old hippie who was never into the
Dead I don't have interest in tapes, only in knowing that LoS are making
a mark with their own special kind of music and humor!"
<Donna.Kirkpatrick@colorado.edu>

"I first heard Salmon on tape (12.1.93) from a guy named Rob Margesson,
who used to be prominent in Phish and Widespread Panic trading circles.
I made a pilgrimage to Humboldt in April'94 to do a lot of tape
spinning, and one of the tapes he gave me was that Salmon show. I still
recall, with startling clarity, driving back home down the Redwood
Highway, through huge trees in my parent's Buick Park Avenue, listening
to Mark and Drew picking away while Vince blasted his ways through a
Salmonesque cover of Blister in the Sun. What drew me to the band was
the outstanding musicianship and the humor.

Ooh, what else. I've seen LoS about seven times, all in the Bay Area. Each
show is memorable... the Sweetwater show where Drew's wife came on stage
for a couple of beautiful duets with her husband... the July'95 Fillmore show
(their first), with Jambay opening, and the drop-jaw awe that the band had for
playing in the legendary hall... the Oct'94 show at the Last Day in SF, where
they played Joe's Garage > Montana > Blister in the Sun > Montana
> Joe's Garage, and I danced ten pounds of sweat out of my bod... and the
last show I saw, a couple of weeks ago, with Dave Grisman and Pete Sears at
the Fillmore again... Drew Emmitt holds a firm position in my pantheon of
musical heroes, along with Trey Anastasio, Victor Wooten, and Frank Zappa.
His proficiency with violin, mandolin, electric guitar, and flute are
extraordinary, and his lyrics are beautiful. Vince and Drew are incredible as
well, and Woo (?) holds up the rhythm in an extraordinarily solid manner. The
interplay on stage between the players is close to that demonstrated by Phish;
the diversity of music is close to Queen's; the dopiness is close to Zappa; and
the infectiousness of the grooves is... well, it's just damn Salmonesque!"
<Alek_Grabinski@ccm.sc.intel.com>

"a few weeks later I went to see them at Irving Plaza in NYC. WOW!! I
was completely blown away! It was one of the most fun, musically impressive,
amusing evenings I've ever had! I had to leave a little early to catch a train,
but I briefly considered sleeping in Penn Station if it would allow me to catch
the rest of the show! I grabbed 'Ask the Fish' on my way out, and it spent the
next few weeks lodged in my CD player. I was able to see them again in
October, but they haven't been back since. I'm counting the days till the 13th,
when they're back at Irving." <stighe@ix.netcom.com>

"As far as I'm concerned, the OCF takes the cake for all festivals anywhere.
Thousands of kind folks, good food, beverage, and crafts. And music! Salmon
played outdoors to a crowd of a few thousand people who were mostly
unclothed, dripping with water or sweat, and just really into getting down. Still
probably one of the best times I've ever had. I've seen them a few times since,
and each time they manage to surprise me with how good they are. The same
thing happens every time I pop in a boot." <jgott@gwis2.circ.gwu.edu>

"i'm in austin via cross country trip w/ jonathan...yes, LoS blew us both away
at the OCF...as did the festival itself...since then, i've seen LoS whenever
they've been down here... (i think 3 or 4 times..)...and have had the time(s) of
my life!!!"  <brook@mail.utexas.edu>

"Hey fellow travelers-- I saw my third Leftover Salmon show this weekend
and, well, it was such an amazing experience I have to say they are now one of
my favorite bands. On my list they're right up there with Blues Traveler. Not
under, with. Yes, with BT; meaning, "of equal importance". ;-) Because of this,
the urge to spread the word is irresistable. GO SEE THEM. SEE THEM LIVE
while they're still playing small venues." <TLEACH@FTCMPDMAIN.CO.SYMBIOS.COM>

"I think some people need to experience them live to get acquainted with
them (Salmon, that is). They amaze me every time I see them. I mean,
if only to see Mark Vann playing banjo with such an exhilerating GUSTO!!
Fun band, really.  Really, really . . . um . . . fun!"  <daisycat@aol.com>

"Last night LoS played here in Chicago at the Cubby Bear, which was
about 150% of capacity. This band has really developed a cult following
here in Chicago, which should get visits from them more than once every
six months. The band had a great time as well as the fans, and remarked
'I think we've found a new home.' This city doesn't really take to too
many of the HORDE-type bands like other cities do, but when they do,
they are really into the band (i.e. Medeski, Martin, Wood, now LoS). I
don't know unfortunately where LoS is headed after tonight, which is
Cincinnati, but I am sure they are going to kick some butt wherever they
go. This band is just cool as s__t. GO See them if you want to have the
best night of your weekend..." <Kundogger@aol.com>

"Leftover Salmon is a great band - lots of fun! Mass Pikes who showed
up in October at their last visit to the Paradise all agreed that they
would be well worth going to again! (Hey, they may even cook Spam to
serve to the crowd another time, if we're lucky!)" <Jan_Baxter@LPP.com>

"I just got a copy of the 3-6-95 Humpty's show today...The show smokes!
(as does most Salmon shows)" <MAnsolab@aol.com>

"Salmon is in-freakin-credible!"  <cdeluci@hubcap.clemson.edu>
