We hold eight meetings a week in the National Capital Area.    You are not powerless over your addictions! We promote freedom from dependence on alcohol and other drugs through self-help in a small group setting. You can learn to make sensible and reasoned choices to abstain by overcoming problem habits and thinking. No charge for meetings; minimal voluntary donations accepted. SMART Recovery© is the only non-12-step group to be listed by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) in its Principles of Drug Abuse Treatment. It is also listed in some of its physician guidelines by the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
