Before I move on toward another topic: more canals & bridges!

My 2nd day there started out miserably with temps just above freezing and intermittent rain. But it warmed up and so in came the fog (on little feet, &c.). These pictures are of scenes along the Singel.

One thing that caught my eye were the architectural details on some of the bridges. For instance the bridge pier in these two details is also a good decorative element in the streetscape.

 

OK, and now off to ... the museums!
