Figurative and Still Life Artists
Washington DC and Virginia

Introduction to Five Views

Welcome to the Five Views Exhibit, presented by the International Gallery of Art of Washington, District of Columbia. This exhibition presents contemporary women artists who focus on the human figure and still life in diverse personal styles.

Judith Coady shows us her architectural approach to the human figure in richly colored pastels while Jane Hahler displays contemporary realist still life paintings of dazzling color and light along with figurative drawings.

Ardath Hill's paintings approach the figure in a bold expressionistic dynamic way in counterpoint to Jacqueline Saunders' sensitive watercolors and gestural ink washes of the figure.

Sheep Jones , in her still life and prints, uses fragments of color and form to create the whole image.
