I'm running out of room on my Family Tree Maker Site Allen/Glassman/Jaffe/Kaplan/Splaver Family Forest, so I'm starting to move information onto this server.

JAFFE: Schloma Splaver of Cleveland, Ohio changed his name to Solomon A. Jaffe. He took on the name of his wife, Bayla Hinda Jaffe/Yaffe (daughter of Yehuda Mendel Jaffe) of Svenciany. Bayla Hinda may have relatives that remained in Canada.

The children of Solomon and Bayla Jaffe were: Mayr, Abraham, Joseph, Sarah B., Louis, Ida, Benjamin, and Getrude/Kathy.
Mayr was born in Anyksciai, Lithuania, and married Anna JAVITCH. If you are descended from Mayr and Anna JAFFE, please contact me at rayvenna@rayvenna.com!
The second son, Abraham (1889-1971) was also born in Anyksciai and married Gitel COHEN (1908-1994). I am very interested in learning about Gitel's family. I have a photograph of her as an infant. An older boy is in the photo with her, wearing an elaborate hat with Hebrew lettering, peyes, and carrying a large book (possibly a religious text)? I would like to know if these COHENs are of rabbinic descent.
I would also like to get in contact with the descendants of Sarah B. JAFFE (1895-1982) and Louis JAFFE (1897-1987) who were also born in Anyksciai, Lithuania. Sarah had a son named Solomon. Louis married Sophie WOHL in Cleveland, Ohio. Louis and Sophie had a daughter named Edna Lelia Jaffe ZAMIR (?-1971).
I am also not in touch with the descendants of the younger children Ida, Benjamin, and Gertrude/Kathy.
