"If someone curses you, you must repress all resentment, and make the
firm determination, 'My mind shall not be disturbed, no angry words shall
escape my lips, I shall remain kind and friendly, with loving thoughts and
no secret spite'".

Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked Him a question, tempting
Him, "Master, which is the great commandment in the law?". Jesus said
unto him, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all
thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and greatest
commandment. And the second is like unto it, thou shall love thy neighbor
as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the
prophets".

I expect to pass through this world but once …
Any good thing therefore, that I can do or any kindness that I can show,
Let me do it now…
Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again.

Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful
or proud, never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not demand its
own way. It is not irritable or touchy. It does not hold grudges and will
hardly even notice when others do it wrong. It is never glad about
injustice, but rejoices whenever truth wins out. If you love someone
you will be loyal to him no matter what the cost. You will always
believe in him, always expect the best of him, and always stand your
ground in defending him.
All the special gifts and powers from God will someday come to an
end, but love goes on forever.

Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon
as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and
with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense. This day
is all that is good and fair. It is too dear, with its hopes and invitations,
to waste a moment of the yesterdays.

All you have to do is to decide what to do with the time that is given to
