"I LAUCHLIN M'INTOSH of Torecastle doe declare, That Andrew M'Pherson of Clunee, Lauchlin M'Pherson of Pitmeans and John M'Pherson of Invereshie, and their friends and followers, have out of their meer good will and pleasure joyned with me at this time for recovering of my lands of Glenlay and Locharkag from the Clan Chameron and other violent possessors thereof (according to the King's commission granted for that effect), and therefor I bind an d obledge me and my friends and followers to assist fortifie and joyn with -_the said Andrew, Lauchlin and John M'Phersons in all their lawful and necessar adoes (being thereto required) by the saids. Subscribed at Kyair the twelth day of Sept. jajoj and sixtie-fyve years by me before these witnesses, Alex. M'Intosh of Cannodge, and Alex. M'Intosh, notar publick in Inverness, and William M'Intosh of Carrybrough. Sic subscribitur.
