I'm building this Ibanez Sabre-style 7-string guitar body from alder wood, as a prototype. It's thicker than a stock Sabre, 1 3/4" instead of 1 1/2". And I didn't get the taper on the body surface quite right, but I'll cut it steeper next time. I stained this body a mahogany-red and I'll be spraying it with laquer.
