We are extremely excited to announce the birth of our son, Justin Thompson Wayland, on Monday, January 5, 1998 at 2:04 PM, after a 13 hour labor. A few hours after birth he weighed 8 lbs 2 1/2 ounces and was 21 inches long.
We came home at 10pm on the 5th and are settling into our new lives together.
(The picture above was taken at the Maternity Center at around 9:45 PM, roughly 7 1/2 hours after he was born. All three of us were pretty beat!)
We scanned these in on 1/8/98. The first two were taken about ten minutes after he was born. Notice the open eye in the first one! Sarah's hand (or part of it) is visible in both of these pictures.
This one was taken a few hours later, after we had a chance to dress him in an outfit (and they put junk in his eyes).
