entrance to 55-window palace The next day we hire a car to take us to Bhaktapur and on to Nagarkot. Bhaktapur is full of beautifully maintained temples. After a nice cup of tea -- whoops! chai masala, it turns out -- we go first to the 55-Window Palace. It's got an amazing entrance, two stories high, made out of gold and just dripping with statues and carvings. In the bright sun, we're practically blinded.
