outside of golden temple, patan next photo... next photo... On Kanak's recommendation, we have lunch at the Patan Museum, the restaurant and museum largely built and designed by Austrian money. The nicest museum in South Asia, I say afterwards, and a good introduction to Hinduism & Buddhism, well laid out, well lit, well designed, not too big. Lunch was good, too.

Afterwards, we wander around the Durbar Square in Patan. We take it easy for the rest of the day, what's left before dark, and eat out with a friend from Delhi. It seems miraculous: we can buy a bottle of wine in a shop on the way to the restaurant, and they open it for a corkage fee. After Delhi, it seems as if you can buy anything here.

This picture is of Aingeal at the entrance to the Golden Temple in Patan.
